AZ Scheepstechniek is a yacht consultancy offering specialist experience and knowledge in all shipbuilding disciplines.
From design specification to interior design, AZ Scheepstechniek steers, guides and supervises the entire construction process for yacht buyers and owners.
A fully qualified naval architect, he started working at Shipyard Hakvoort in 1980. In those days fishing ships were built of up to 40 meters. The first yacht was built in 1982, and initially Arjan was the single technical staff member out on the yard responsible for the entire project. Until 2011 he has been involved in the building of all Hakvoort yachts, and for 25 of them Arjan has been the technical project manager and purchaser.
Design, specification, Class, LY2, Hull and Superstructure construction, Engines and Systems, Electrical systems, interior and exterior carpentry, soundproofing, deck equipment, painting, upholstery, marble, plumbing, windows, propellers and shaft, lighting, insulation, fire detection, alarm system, AZ Scheepstechniek has worked with a range of designers, including Felix Buijtendijk, Espen Oeino, DIANA yachtdesign, Vripack, Pieter Beeldsnijder, Ken Freivokh, Don Starkey, Willem de Vries Lentsch, and Azure.
